Chris Poole and the Riptide Racing team won the United States Grand Slam Series for the third consecutive year in a row. Becoming the only skipper and team in the events 15 years history to do so. The series started with a great win at the Oakcliff International going undefeated in another perfect regatta for the team to start the series. Next up was the Thompson Cup at the teams home club Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club. The team enjoyed a range of conditions on the way to winning the second event of the series.

The third event saw the series move to fresh water and competition resumed on Lake Michigan in Tom 28's out of Chicago Yacht Club. The racing was intense with the final day seeing some very wild racing, unfortunately the team would have to settle for 2nd place behind friend and competitor Peter Holz. This ends the streak of 4 WMRT Event wins in a row, while disappointing it a 5 straight finals appearance in a row is a great show of the teams focus and consistency.

The final event of the 2024 Grand Slam Series was the Detroit Cup hosted by Bayview Yacht Club. This event has eluded the team since they first came onto the match race circuit in 2012 with two 2nd place finishes being the closest the team has come to claiming this incredible trophy. This year the team did a great job to sail as mistake free as possible and come out of the round robin as the top seed. The final day saw fickle breeze that struggled to fill in, ultimately the clock ran out and the finals went back to countback which gave the team their first Detroit Cup victory over Bayview's Ryan Seago. The win in Detroit secured Riptide Racing their 3rd U.S. Grand Slam Series becoming the first team to win the Grand Slam 3 times and the only team to win the series with a perfect 3 event score of 300 points.
